How does the first pickup get scheduled?+
After you sign up on our website, a member of the Wash team contacts you personally — by phone or email, during your preferred contact window — to introduce themselves and walk through everything. They confirm your service area, explain how to leave items, and set your first pickup. Once onboarded, you gain access to our client app through SMRT — your personal portal for wardrobe management, order history, billing, and payment options.
Do I need to be home for pickup or delivery?+
No. Most of our clients leave items at the door, in a building lobby, with a doorman, or in another agreed location. We work out the logistics when we set up your account — no need to rearrange your day around us.
How long does the standard service take?+
Standard service runs on a weekly cycle by area. Items are picked up on your area's service day, cleaned at our Cheswick facility, and returned on the next service day for your area. The exact turnaround depends on your location and route — your Wash team member will confirm the specifics when setting up your account. We are flexible and will always work with you on timing if you have a specific need.
What is express service and when can I use it?+
Express service is our rush turnaround option for clients who need items back faster than the standard weekly cycle. We offer three dedicated express windows: Monday pickup with Wednesday delivery, Tuesday pickup with Thursday delivery, and Wednesday pickup with Friday delivery. Is pickup and delivery really free?+
Yes — standard pickup and delivery is always free. There are no minimum order requirements, no delivery surcharges, and no fine print. The only service that carries an additional fee is express, which is clearly quoted when you contact us to arrange it.
What if my area is not on the service area list?+
Sign up anyway. We are actively expanding our routes and may already be serving your area or about to. Our team will reach out and either confirm your service day or let you know the timeline for when we expect to reach your area. We add new neighborhoods regularly.
Is there an app I can use to manage my account?+
Yes. Once you are onboarded as a Wash client, you gain access to our client portal powered by SMRT — a modern app where you can view your wardrobe history, track orders, manage billing, and handle payments. It is designed to give you full visibility and control over your account from your phone or desktop. Your Wash team member will walk you through accessing it when you are set up.
Can I adjust my pickup schedule or skip a week?+
Absolutely. Life changes, and your laundry schedule should be able to change with it. Contact your Wash team member directly — by phone or email — to adjust, pause, or change your service. There are no penalties for skipping a pickup.
